  About Patricia: I believe that every person has an innate desire and capacity to heal and change. My role as a therapist is to provide a compassionate, supportive, and gently challenging environment for this natural process to take place, where you can: • Reduce and manage stress • Break through depression and anxiety • Relieve trauma • Improve and mend intimate relationships • Enhance self esteem • Move through loss and grief • Resolve family-of-origin issues • Change self-destructive or addictive behaviours • Awaken a sense of meaning and purpose • Manage difficult emotions • Navigate challenging life transitions • Connect more deeply with self and others  My counselling orientation draws from several theoretical approaches and is personalized to the unique needs and expectations of each client. My creative use of clinical skills holistically integrates emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and spiritual concerns in the context of relationships and experiences. I help people to understand themselves better, generate more choices, and make real changes in their lives.   I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. My clinical background includes training in Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR) Levels I and II.
